Cleaning the bathroom is a difficult undertaking that takes a lot of time and effort. Hair-clogged drains, moisture-loving mildew, filthy shower doors, and, ahem, the toilet all add up to a dreaded task.
Here are seven quick and easy tips to help you enjoy a fresh-smelling, germ-free shower room in no time.
1- Streak-free mirrors
You can make your own toxic-free window cleaner at home if you don’t like the expensive commercial window cleaners that leave those pesky streaks on your mirrors. To remove any spots, simply make a solution of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide, spray it on the mirror, and wipe it clean with a sponge.
Shaving cream can also be used. It not only shines on your glass surfaces but also keeps your bathroom mirror from steaming up after your next hot shower.
2- A sparkling bathtub
Using a mixture of 1/2 cup vinegar, 1 cup rubbing alcohol, and 1/4 cup water to get rid of germs and make your bathtub look brand new again is one option. In 4 quarts of warm water, combine all of the ingredients. Apply the mixture evenly to the dirty areas, wait 15 minutes, and then rinse thoroughly. The cleanliness of your shower will astound you.
3- A clean toilet
A simple mouthwash can be used as a toilet cleaner. Dissolve your oral rinse or toothpaste in water, apply to the dirty surface, wait 30 minutes, then scrub thoroughly with the toilet brush and rinse.
4- Spotless tiles
Keep your tiles extra shiny and free of water spots with a cotton ball soaked in oxygen bleach. This can also be done with mouthwash or toothpaste.
5- Getting rid of rust
Rust removal is simpler than it appears. Simply sprinkle salt over the rusted area, massage it in, and finish with a squeeze of lemon juice. The rust is dissolved from the surface by the lemon juice, and the rust spots are absorbed by the salt. Allow the solution to sit overnight before washing it off in the morning.
6- A dust-free ceiling
Use a solution of 1 part vinegar to 1 part warm water to clean and dust your ceiling. Start cleaning your ceiling with a mop dipped in the prepared solution. When undertaking this type of labor, keep in mind that you should use safe eyewear.
7- Clean shower curtains
Combine 16 fl oz (500 ml) all-purpose bleach and 2 teaspoons dishwashing liquid in a spray bottle. Spray the whole surface of your shower curtain with this solution, wait a few minutes, and then rinse. Your curtain will appear brand new once again.
